Christine Potts, who collected the award on behalf of the group, said: “We are thrilled to receive the award. We work hard to raise funds to help people living with diabetes and to help the search for a cure. We also want to help people in Ilford who have diabetes and warmly invite them to join our group. Diabetes is a life long condition and it is important to manage your diabetes the best way you possibly can to avoid complications. Our monthly meetings aim to educate diabetics about improving the management of their condition as well as socializing with others and having fun.”
