Sainsbury's, Loughton and Ilford and District Voluntary Group join together to boost research funds, September 5-7, 2014

A big THANK YOU goes to the Sainsbury's store in Loughton for allowing the group to make a collection for Diabetes Research which totalled a staggering £803.76.

Collectors were given a warm welcome by staff and shoppers who were interested to chat and contribute to this very worthwhile cause,

So many of the shoppers made reference to family and friends who have the condition and how wonderful it would be to have a 'cure' or at least different medical treatments that would make their lives easier.

All contributors were reassured that their money would go towards achieving their hopes.

Our grateful thanks go to all who held a collecting tin and particularly our thanks go to Ted and Margaret who orgainised the event with Sainsbury's, Loughton,  we look forward to being back with them in the near future.

Without these excellent collecting venues we would not have the funds to pass on to Diabetes UK for further research programmes, so well done Sainsbury's, Loughton.
